Like Eid, Bakrid festival is also celebrated in a grand manner in the Muslim community. Another name of Bakrid is Eid-al-Adha. This festival comes two months after Eid. According to the Islamic calendar, in the year 2024, this festival is being celebrated on Evening of Sun, 16 June, 2024 – Mon, 17 June. This festival gives the message of brotherhood and humanity. We can wish Eid Mubarak to all our loved ones wholeheartedly.

“And complete the Hajj and Umrah for Allah.”

“And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass.”

“Say, ‘Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds.'”

“And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols of Allah; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allah upon them when lined up [for sacrifice] and when they are [lifeless] on their sides. Then when they are safe [in death], eat from them and feed the needy and the beggar. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful.”

“And for all religions We have appointed a rite [of sacrifice] that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided for them of [sacrificial] animals. For your god is one God, so to Him submit. And, [O Muhammad], give good tidings to the humble [before their Lord].”

“And the camels and cattle – We have made them for you as among the symbols of Allah; for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allah upon them when lined up [for sacrifice]; and when they are [lifeless] on their sides, then eat from them and feed the needy and the beggar. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful.”

“And he raised his parents upon the throne, and they bowed to him in prostration. And he said, ‘O my father, this is the explanation of my vision of before. My Lord has made it reality. And He was certainly good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you [here] from bedouin life after Satan had induced [estrangement] between me and my brothers. Indeed, my Lord is Subtle in what He wills. Indeed, it is He who is the Knowing, the Wise.'”

“Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds – their Lord will guide them because of their faith. Beneath them rivers will flow in the Gardens of Pleasure.”

“And [We cursed them] for their breaking of the covenant and their disbelief in the signs of Allah and their killing of the prophets without right and their saying, ‘Our hearts are wrapped.’ Rather, Allah has sealed them because of their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.”

“And [mention] when Abraham said, ‘My Lord, make this city [Makkah] secure and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols.'”

“And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger – those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs, and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions.”

“And remember when We made the House [Kaaba] a place of return for the people and [a place of] security. And take, [O believers], from the standing place of Abraham a place of prayer. And We charged Abraham and Ishmael, [saying], ‘Purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who are staying [there] for worship and those who bow and prostrate [in prayer].'”

“Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and pleasure, Enjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord protecting them from the punishment of Hellfire.”

“So when you have completed your rites, remember Allah like your [previous] remembrance of your fathers or with [much] greater remembrance. And among the people is he who says, ‘Our Lord, give us in this world,’ and he will have in the Hereafter no share.”

“And [mention, O Muhammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House, [saying], ‘Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate.'”

“So complete the prescribed period and glorify Allah for having guided you, so that you may be thankful.”

“And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the sunset.”

“He wants to let you know what He has made lawful for you and what is not lawful for you.”

“So remember Me; I will remember you. Be grateful to Me, and do not deny Me.

“And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace.”
